Dental Bonding

  • Short or uneven teeth
  • Gaps between teeth

During the bonding procedure, Dr. Patel applies composite resin to the tooth, allows the resin to harden, and uses several sculpting and polishing instruments to shape the resin and correct the imperfection. Dental bonding is one of the most conservative cosmetic procedures available and can usually be performed in a single visit.

Tooth Contouring

While dental bonding builds up the tooth’s structure, contouring gently removes a small amount of enamel to reshape and perfect problematic teeth. Cosmetic issues addressed by tooth contouring include:

  • Rough or jagged edges
  • Teeth of uneven length
  • Overlapping teeth

Before proceeding with the contouring process, Dr. Patel will take x-rays to ensure that you have strong enamel. If your enamel is weak or thin, he may suggest other solutions such as porcelain veneers.
